Noob trapping happens when a senior or mature member creates a debate for the purpose of attracting new debaters who are not necessarily well-versed in the conventions of debating. Noob Trapping, similar to Noob sniping, is designed to overwhelm new debaters with a skilled debater posting strong arguments, or knowing that the opponent will forfeit. Unlike noob sniping, the instigator is the one who defeats the contender, instead of the other way around. However, Noob Trapping is extremely difficult to manage and much harder than Noob Sniping, due to the needs of an intriguing but rigged resolution in order to snare newbies within the "Trap". However, noob trapping is also very risky, as a skilled debater could easily take the debate and as a result ruin the noob-trap.
